Branding your booking page (logo, cover photo, colours and links)

Add your logo, a cover photo, photos of your work, your brand colour, a light or dark look and your social links to the pages your clients see.

Your booking page can look like your salon: your logo, a cover photo, photos of your work, your colour and your Instagram and Facebook. It's all in Settings → Online booking, under Branding, Photos and Links, and nothing changes for clients until you press Save changes.

Where your branding shows

Your logo, colour and light or dark look show on every page your clients see from you:

  • your booking page
  • their booking link (to confirm, change or cancel), from their confirmation and reminders
  • consultation form links
  • deposit and payment pages
  • your gift voucher shop and their gift voucher
  • the client area, if you have it on

The cover photo, your photos and your links only show at the top of the first step of your booking page, where clients choose their services. Every other page has a compact header with your logo, name, address and phone number.

Your logo also shows beside your salon's name inside FullColumn. Your brand colour and light or dark choice only change the pages clients see, not the staff app.

Adding your logo to your booking page

  1. Open Settings → Online booking and find Branding.
  2. Under Logo, press Upload logo and choose the picture.
  3. Choose a Logo size: Small, Medium (to start with) or Large. It's how tall the logo is at the top of your booking page.
  4. If your logo already spells out your salon's name, turn off Show your salon's name beside the logo.
  5. Press Save changes.

A PNG with a see-through background works best. The logo is the same one as in Settings → Business: changing it in either place changes both. Without a logo, your pages show a scissors mark beside your name. To take it off, press Remove and save.

Adding a cover photo

A cover photo is a wide photo of your salon or your work across the top of your booking page.

  1. In Settings → Online booking → Branding, under Cover photo, press Upload cover photo.
  2. Choose a landscape photo. It fills the width of the page, so a wide shot works better than a tall one.
  3. Press Save changes.

With a logo as well, your logo sits on the cover photo. Change photo replaces it and Remove takes it off.

Showing photos of your work

You can show up to 8 photos of your work at the top of your booking page. Clients can tap one to see it full size, with its caption, and swipe through the rest.

  1. In Settings → Online booking, under Photos, press Add photos. You can choose several at once.
  2. Add a caption under any photo if you like (up to 120 characters), such as "Lived-in blonde by Mia".
  3. Use the arrows under a photo to move it earlier or later, and the bin to remove it.
  4. Press Save changes.

Once you have 8, remove one to add another. Photos you choose beyond 8 aren't added.

Choosing your brand colour

Your brand colour is used for buttons and the times clients pick on your pages.

  1. In Settings → Online booking → Branding, under Brand colour, pick one of the colours or choose your own. Standard keeps FullColumn's own look.
  2. Under Text on buttons, leave Automatic to use whichever of white or black reads best on your colour, or choose White or Black yourself. The Book now sample beside it shows how it looks.
  3. Press Save changes.

If the text you choose is hard to read on your colour, the setting says "That may be hard to read on your colour." Automatic never is. Main buttons use your exact colour; selected times and outlines use a shade of it that stands out in both the light and the dark look.

Choosing a light or dark look

Under Light or dark, choose how your client pages look:

  • Match their device (to start with): light or dark, following each client's phone or computer.
  • Light: always light.
  • Dark: always dark.

Press Save changes to put it live.

Adding your Instagram, Facebook and website

Links to your Instagram, Facebook page and website show under your salon's name on your booking page.

  1. In Settings → Online booking, find Links.
  2. Type your Instagram name (@yoursalon) or paste your profile link.
  3. Type your Facebook page name or paste its link.
  4. Type your Website address. It's the same one as in Settings → Business.
  5. Press Save changes.

FullColumn tidies each one into a proper link. If one can't be read, the field says so, for example "That doesn't look like an Instagram @name or link". Leave a box empty to leave that link off.

Previewing your branding before it goes live

Preview in Settings → Online booking shows the top of your booking page on a phone as you change things, including pictures you haven't saved yet. It shows FullColumn's own light or dark look, whichever you're using. Open your booking page shows the real page, which changes once you press Save changes.

Who can change your branding

Branding is part of Settings → Online booking, which needs the permission Change salon settings (hours, online booking, messages, branding). Owners have every permission, and managers have this one unless you've changed it.

Common questions

What kind of pictures can I upload?

JPG, PNG or WebP pictures up to 30 MB, straight from your phone or computer. FullColumn resizes them for you, so they load quickly on a phone. If a picture won't open, save it as a JPG or PNG and try again.

I uploaded a photo but my booking page hasn't changed. Why?

Pictures go live when you press Save changes. Until then only the preview shows them.

Can I use a different logo on my booking page from the one in FullColumn?

No. Your salon has one logo, used on your booking page, clients' links and beside your salon's name in FullColumn.

They're only on the first step of your booking page. Booking links, forms and the other pages clients get keep a compact header with your logo, name, address and phone number, so the appointment is the first thing they see.

Can I upload pictures from my phone?

Yes. Settings → Online booking works on a phone or tablet, and the upload buttons let you choose from your photos. Big phone photos are fine: they're made smaller before they upload.
