Welcome to FullColumn

What FullColumn is, its three parts (the staff app, your booking page and your clients' links), where each one lives, and how the one plan works.

FullColumn is the appointment book, client cards, checkout and online booking for hair salons, all in one place. Your team uses it on the front desk computer, the salon iPad or their own phones, and your clients book and look after their appointments on a page with your name, logo and colours. This page explains the parts and how they fit together.

The three parts of FullColumn

  • The staff app is where your team works: the calendar, clients, checkout, sales, products, messages, reports and settings. It's at app.fullcolumn.com/your-salon, with your salon's address in place of "your-salon".
  • Your booking page is where clients book online, at book.fullcolumn.com/your-salon. They choose their services, a stylist (or anyone) and a time from your real availability. Share it on Instagram, your Google Business Profile and your website: see your booking page.
  • Your clients' links arrive in their texts and emails: a link to their booking (to confirm, reschedule or cancel within your rules), consultation forms, deposit payments, gift vouchers and, if you turn it on, the client area. They're all on book.fullcolumn.com, in your branding.

Your salon's address is the one you chose when you signed up. A salon that chose "halo" has its staff app at app.fullcolumn.com/halo and its booking page at book.fullcolumn.com/halo.

What FullColumn does for your salon

  • Calendar: a column for each stylist, processing time, rosters, blocked time and drag-and-drop changes. See using the calendar.
  • Clients: client cards with visits, spend, colour formulas, alerts, patch tests and before and after photos. See client profiles.
  • Checkout: services, retail, gift vouchers, discounts, tips and split payments, plus card payments through your own Stripe account. See checking out a client.
  • Online booking: your booking page with your rules, deposits if you want them, and bookings you approve first. See online booking rules.
  • Reminders and messages: confirmations and reminders by text and email, replies, campaigns and automatic marketing. See confirmations and reminders.
  • Consultation and feedback forms: your own forms, filled in on the client's phone or the salon iPad, before a visit or after it, with a thank-you page that can ask for a Google review. See building forms and asking for feedback.
  • Products, sales and reports: stock, the cash-up, gift vouchers, takings and team performance. See reports.
  • Your team: roles, permissions, hours, commission and shared devices with PINs. See roles and permissions.

One sign-in for every salon you work at

Everyone on your team signs in with their own email and a password they choose themselves: nobody sets a password for someone else. Someone who works at more than one salon on FullColumn signs in once at app.fullcolumn.com, picks the salon, and can switch between them from the menu. See signing in.

On the salon's own iPad or front desk computer, the team can switch with a PIN instead. See shared devices, PINs and Front desk.

One plan with everything included

FullColumn has one plan, with every feature in it. What you pay depends on two things:

  • Team members with a column on the calendar. Reception and admin logins without a column are free, and you never pay for more than 10 team members.
  • The texts you choose each month, as a bundle. The more texts you choose, the less each one costs.

Both are on a sliding scale, and the current prices are on the pricing page. Every new salon starts with a free trial of 14 days, with no card needed. See signing up and your free trial and your plan and billing.

  4. Have a look at finding your way around: the menu, search and keyboard shortcuts.

Common questions

Do I need to install anything to use FullColumn?

No. FullColumn works in a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) on computers, tablets and phones. You can add it to your phone's or iPad's Home Screen so it opens like an app: see using FullColumn on phones and tablets.

Does FullColumn work without the internet?

No, it needs an internet connection. Each team member can have their appointments emailed to them every morning, so they have the day even if the connection drops: see My account.

Do I need my own SMS or email account?

No. FullColumn sends your texts and emails for you, with nothing to connect. Texts use the SMS credits in your plan. See how texts and emails are sent.

Who owns my salon's data?

You do. The owner can download a full copy of everything at any time, even after the plan ends. See downloading everything.

Can I bring my clients across from my old booking system?

Yes. Import your clients, their past and upcoming appointments, colour formulas and notes from spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) files. See bringing your clients across.
